Worland High School’s Kade Weber is getting an opportunity to train with some of the top quarterbacks in the nation this weekend.

Weber, who will be a senior this fall, is competing at the Manning Passing Academy in Thibodaux, LA Thursday through Sunday. This elite camp is owned and operated by Archie, Cooper, Peyton, and Eli Manning. It’s considered the premier offensive football camp in the nation and is in its 26th year.

The top 1000 quarterbacks in the county and the top 50 QBs in NCAA D-I are attending this event, plus a select amount of running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends.

Weber was an all-state and all-conference QB for the Warriors last fall. He threw for 1,658 yards with 17 touchdowns and just seven interceptions. Weber averaged 184.2 passing yards per game and completed 70.1 percent of his passes. He also averaged 221.4 all-purpose yards per game and scored 11 touchdowns.

In the 2021 season, Weber helped Worland to a 4-5 record, which included a 3-2 mark in conference games, and an appearance in the quarterfinal round of the Class 3A football playoffs. The Warriors lost to eventual state champion Cody.

Weber’s best game of the 2021 season was in a 49-35 victory over Green River. He threw for 384 yards and three TDs and added 76 yards rushing and three more touchdowns.

WyoPreps has also learned that Laramie sophomore-to-be receiver Jackson Reed is attending this camp, as well.

Many former WyoPreps have attended the Manning Passing Academy camp in the past.
