The Wright Panthers won the 2021 class 2A wrestling state championship on Thursday in Casper. It's the second wrestling title in school history.

Going into the state tournament Wright was the number one ranked team in Class 2A according to wyowrestling.com. This is the Panther's first wrestling title since 2004.

Wright is coached by Larry Yerdari and Chuck Seamands.

The Panthers scored 200 team points to secure first place in the tournament. They put together a strong performance thanks to their depth, as Wright had nine wrestlers' place in the top four.

Five Panthers took second place, two finished in third place, and two more came in fourth place.

Tyzer Isenberger, Sr. at 132 pounds, Kaden Tescher, Sr. at 138 pounds, Jacob Goodrich, Sr. at 160 pounds, Kayden Mack, Sr. at 170 pounds, and Charlee Thomson, Jr at 182 pounds all took second place at the state tournament.

Kagen Baker, Sr. at 126 pounds and Ethan Mack, Jr. at 220 pounds both took third place at the state tournament.

Wyitt Knight, So. at 106 pounds, and Pace Garrett, Fr. at 120 pounds both took fourth place at the tournament.
