The State 4A Basketball Tournament completed the semi-final round at the Ford Center in Casper on Friday night with Sheridan having a chance to repeat as State Champions in Girls play and a new State Champ on the boys side.

In the first girl's semi-final, Sheridan outlasted Cheyenne East in overtime 47-43 in an excellent game. Sheridan was led by Ella Bilyeu, who threw in 19 points on 7-14 from the floor. East was paced by Jade Brown with 15. In the second semi-final, Cheyenne Central cruised to a 63-35 win over Campbell County. Central got 21 points from Karson Tempel and Campbell County received 13 points from Kaylie Neary. So Central is 24-2 and Sheridan is 19-6 heading into Saturday's 4A Championship game at the Ford Center at 5:30

In the girls' consolation round on Friday, Natrona defeated Kelly Walsh 47-31 and Green River buried Star Valley 76-49.

In the first boys' semi-final on Friday night, Laramie had a huge 3rd quarter to down Thunder Basin 59-49. Max Alexander had a great game for Laramie with 22 and Gibson Williams tossed in 17 for Thunder Basin. In semi-final #2, Campbell County edged Sheridan 51-47 thanks to 15 points from Lane Hladkey while Sheridan's leading scorer was Nate Miner with 12. Laramie comes into the 4A Championship game on Saturday with a record of 19-8 and Campbell County is 16-8.

On the boys consolation round, Natrona defeated Evanston 66-69 and Kelly Walsh beat Star Valley 57-48.
