Riverton's Ty Sheets Picks Chadron St. for Football

Riverton's Ty Sheets competes in 3 sports for the Wolverines but it's football that he is going to stick with as he committed to the Chadron State College program in Nebraska. Sheets was a popular wide receiving target for Riverton in 2023 with 60 grabs for 628 yards and 3 touchdowns. He had a 12-reception, 124-yard game vs. Powell this season and also was a factor for the Wolverine defense. Sheets rang up 21 tackles for the year along with a couple of interceptions.

In his junior year of football. he caught 25 passes for 360 yards and a score along with 36 tackles on defense with 4 picks. Sheets was a stalwart on the basketball floor for Riverton as he averaged 9 points a game in 2023-24 and shot 45% from the floor. He's also on the outdoor track and field circuit, running in the 100, 200, 4x100 relay, the long jump and the triple jump.

Ty's father Beau played football at Chadron State 20 some years ago as a receiver and kick returner. The Eagles are a Division II program that plays in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
