It's all about securing playoff seeds now.

Natrona is back on top of the coaches/media 4A rankings. The Fillies already have the #1 seed heading into next weekend's West regional tournament, and will try to make sure the Peach Basket Trophy stays at their place, this Thursday, when they take on #5 Kelly Walsh. The interesting story-line in is the East. #4 Gillette visits #2 Sheridan on Friday. If the Lady Broncs win, they get the #1 seed for the East regional tournament. If the Lady Camels win, then there will probably be a 3-way, between Gillette, Sheridan and #3 Cheyenne East for the top 3 spots. Coaches will have to dig into their tie-breakers.

#1 vs. #2 in 3A lived up to its billing last week...and there might be another battle next week at the East regional tournament. Torrington keeps the #1 spot and can claim the #1 seed at the regional tournament with a win Friday at Newcastle. The Torrington-Newcastle game was moved up from Saturday to Friday, because of weather concerns. Meanwhile #2 Douglas could get the top seed with a win at Buffalo, combined with a Lady TrailBlazers loss. The difference would be that Douglas has head-to-head sweep of the next highest team in the conference, which is #3 Rawlins, unless the Lady Outlaws get tripped up at Wheatland. Elsewhere, Worland moves up to #4, while Mountain View is back in at #5. The Lady Buffalos have had quite the turn-around. They were 2-22 last year, and only need a win at home vs. Lyman on Thursday to be the #1 seeded team, for the regional tournament, that they are hosting.

Very little has changed in the final 2A/1A rankings. On the 2A side, Tongue River is the unanimous #1 team, followed by Lovell, Kemmerer and Southeast. Wind River is back in at #5.

As for 1A, nothing changed at all. Lingle-Ft. Laramie is #1, Upton at #2, Little Snake River at #3, Burlington at #4 and Cokeville at #5.
