The final basketball rankings of the 2025-26 season were released on Wednesday, with the last WyoPreps Coaches and Media Basketball Polls for classes 3A and 4A on the eve of the postseason. It was highlighted by three teams that went wire-to-wire as a top-ranked team. The Cody girls and Lovell boys in 3A, and the Sheridan boys in 4A, were all No. 1 in the preseason rankings back in early December. They finished in that same spot.

The 3A girls remained the same top five as a week ago. Surprisingly, Cody did not receive all the votes for the top spot, despite being undefeated this season. Here are the class breakdowns for the girls’ poll. The complete voting breakdown is below.

Both Lovell and Sheridan finished the season as unanimous picks for No. 1 in 3A and 4A boys’ basketball. Buffalo climbed to second in the 3A poll after the Bison won the 3A East Conference regular season title. Douglas dropped to third, followed by Lander and Cody. In 4A, Cheyenne Central and Natrona County held strong in second and third, respectively. Thunder Basin remained No. 4, but there was one new team that re-entered the rankings, and that was Green River. The Wolves received enough votes and displaced Kelly Walsh from the fifth spot.
