Last week's shake up has produced a new #1 ranked team, according to the coaches and media, heading into February.

That new #1 is not in 4A, because the poll did not change at all from last week. This week could prove to be interesting, as 4 of the top 5 teams mix it up with each other. It still Sheridan at #1, followed by Natrona, East, Gillette and Central. Both the #3 ranked Lady Thunderbirds and #5 Lady Indians are on the road this weekend, to play both the top ranked Lady Broncs and #4 Lady Camels.

The newest 3A ranks did not change either, even though this class had a very crazy week last week. The reason for no movement, is because every team in the top 4 lost at least once. The ranking still show Douglas on top, followed by Rawlins, Torrington, Newcastle, and Mountain View. It may have been noteworthy, when the Lady Dogies beat the Lady Bearcats last weekend, but that loss to unranked Buffalo, 2 days prior, neutralized it to some degree. Newcastle has another chance to move up this Friday, when they visit Torrington.

The new #1 ranked team is in 2A, where Tongue River has reclaimed the top spot. The Lady Eagles got their revenge vs. former #1 Lovell, bumping the Lady Bulldogs down to #3. Meanwhile, Kemmerer retains the #2 rankings, and has this weekend off. Meanwhile, Southeast and Wind River trade spots at #4 and #5, with the Lady Cyclones holding the higher rank. Not much is on the schedule this weekend, as far as ranked teams go.

There was a small amount of change in the latest 1A ranks. Little Snake River and Cokeville swap #3 and #4 spots, after the Lady Rattlers beat the Lady Panthers last week. Other then that...Lingle-Ft. Laramie is the unanimous #1, and the only undefeated team left in the state, boys or girls. They will play a pair of 2A opponents this weekend. Upton holds at #2 and Rock River does the same at #5. This weekend's schedule does not appear to be too exciting.
