Wyoming High School Golf Week 5: Sept. 8-14, 2020

It’s the final week of the regular season for high school golf around Wyoming.

Some teams will play through this week, while others gear up for conference tournaments before next week's state championships.

Tuesday, Sept. 8:

Jackson Invite at Snake River Sporting Club – Evanston, Jackson, Riverton, Star Valley

Jackson swept the team titles in its own invite. Jackson's Vivian Herr won by one shot for the lady's medalist honor, while Riverton's Parker Paxton won by four shots to take the boys' top spot.

3A West Conference Championships at Powell G.C. – Cody, Green River, Lovell, Lyman, Pinedale, Powell, Star Valley

The individual conference champions were Erika Cook from Lovell by seven shots and Jaren Calkins of Lander by three shots. The Lovell girls and Cody boys won the team crowns.

Girls Team Scores: Lovell 276, Star Valley 300, Green River 305, Lander 342, Lyman 357, Pinedale 398

Boys Team Scores: Cody 340, Star Valley 350, Lovell & Powell 376, Lander 380, Pinedale, 389, Lyman 411, Green River 430

3A East Conference Championships in Rawlins at Rochelle Ranch G.C. – Buffalo, Douglas, Rawlins, Riverton, Torrington, Wheatland, Worland - Rescheduled to 9/14/20

Cheyenne Invite at Airport G.C. – Campbell County, Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Laramie, Thunder Basin - called after 7 holes - no results

Evanston Invite at Purple Sage G.C. – Evanston, Kemmerer, Rock Springs

Aryanna Little and Braxton Lind win on their home course and help the Red Devils sweep the team titles, as well.

Lusk Invite No. 1 at Niobrara C.C. – Lusk, Moorcroft, Wright

Joz Potter and Ryan Bruegger, both from Lusk shot the best rounds of the day.

Sheridan Triangular at Hidden Bridge G.C. – Kelly Walsh, Natrona County, Sheridan

In the lady's division, Natrona's Sophie Spiva and Sheridan's Samantha Spielman tied for first-place. Sheridan's Brayden James won the boys' medalist honor. Sheridan swept the team titles.

Thermopolis Bobcat Triangular at Thermopolis G.C. – Big Horn, Thermopolis, Tongue River

Maddie Stam and Hardy Johnson from Thermopolis won on their home course. The Tongue River girls and Thermopolis boys captured the team titles.

Saturday, Sept. 12:

Lusk Invite at Niobrara C.C. – Lusk, Sundance, Upton, Wright

Brooklyn Materi from Upton and Ryan Bruegger of Lusk captured the medalist honors. The Upton girls and Sundance boys won team crowns.

Monday, Sept. 14:

3A East Conference Championships in Rawlins at Rochelle Ranch G.C. – Buffalo, Douglas, Rawlins, Riverton, Torrington, Wheatland, Worland -

Riverton's Sierra Brubaker and Parker Paxton won the conference crown, individually. The Wheatland girls and Worland boys captured the team titles.
