Rankings from the coaches and media have been somewhat consistent for the past few weeks, but in the end, the players will ultimately decided which team is #1.

Heading into the final week of the regular season, the voters unanimously agree on which teams are #1, #2 and #3. It's Cheyenne East, Kelly Walsh and Gillette in that order. Laramie moves ahead of Natrona for #4 by 1 vote, thus pushing the Fillies down to #5. The voters may have been concerned that NC had back to back 5 sets wins on the road. The Casper schools clash in their annual Volley-bowl game on Thursday at Natrona.

Star Valley still shines above the rest of the 3A teams for now. Douglas moves up to #2 this week. The Lady Bearcats have wins against both Buffalo and Worland who are tied for #3, after splitting their head-to-head conference matches vs. each other. Mountain View is back in the top 5 at #5...which has been an unsafe ranking, because which-ever team has been there the past few weeks, ends up losing a match in the near future.

Wright remains on top of the 2A rankings, where they've been all season. Greybull moves up to #2, after securing the #1 seed out of the Northwest for the upcoming regional tournament. Pine Bluffs drop one spot to #3. Big Piney is getting some acknowledgment from the voters this week. The Lady Punchers share the #4 ranking with Sundance.

Another big week lies ahead in 1A...and all the fun is going to be in Farson-Eden. The #2 Pronghorns play #1 Encampment and #4 Little Snake River back-to-back at home this weekend. Meanwhile, #3 Lingle-Ft. Laramie and #5 H.E.M. will conclude their regular seasons against unranked opponents.

Disclaimer: The rankings have no official say on post-season positioning, and are only to be used as a measuring stick on the regular season. Please don't read too much into the rankings.
