The Green River Wolves look like the team to beat in Class 3A girls’ swimming & diving in 2020.

One of their stars is senior Lauren Jensen. She’s currently ranked first in Class 3A in the backstroke event. Jensen is the only 3A swimmer with a time under one-minute in that event, having swum 59.80 seconds recently.

She also has times that put her in the top five of the individual medley, butterfly, and 50 freestyle.

In the video above, WyoPreps’ David Settle caught up with Jensen a couple of weeks ago to visit with her about her senior season, being on top in the backstroke event, plus her passion for swimming, and now competing with the rest of her team in Class 3A, as Green River is now part of that class for swimming and diving.

Settle also talked with Green River coach Colleen Seiloff about Jensen, another senior in Alexa Lauze, how the Wolves’ season is going, moving to Class 3A, and more.

Jensen and her teammate will compete in the conference championships this weekend. They’ll be swimming and diving in Pinedale on Friday and Saturday.

The 3A State Swimming and Diving Championships are on Nov. 6 and 7 in Laramie.
