They’re a dynamic duo that’s got Thunder Basin sitting as the favorite for the Class 4A boys basketball title this season.

Seniors Deegan Williams and McKale Holte have been an integral part of the Bolts basketball program for the last three seasons. They also got some time as freshmen.

Now, in their final year and coming off a runner-up finish in last year’s state tournament, the duo would love to go out on top.

WyoPreps had an opportunity to speak with the two seniors recently about numerous topics, which included their senior year winding down, trying to go out with a title, describing each other on the court, some fun items off the court, and more. It’s all part of the video at the top of this story.

Williams is averaging 21.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, 7.5 assists, and 4.1 steals per game. He’s shooting 62 percent from the floor and 43 percent beyond the arc. Williams ranks in the top 10 of Class 4A in all of those statistical categories.

Holte missed five games earlier this season, but he’s averaging 13.3 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. He’s shooting 48 percent from the floor and 42 percent from 3-point range.

Thunder Basin is ranked No. 1 in the latest WyoPreps Coaches and Media Poll. They’ve been there all but one week of this season. The Bolts are 13-3 on the season and 4-1 in conference play.

They host No. 5 Cheyenne Central and No. 2 Cheyenne East this weekend.

Thank you for your time, Mr. Williams and Mr. Holte.
