2019 Wyoming Shrine Bowl [VIDEO]

The weather conditions weren't great for the 2019 Shrine Bowl football game this year in Casper, so at times the contest was a bit sloppy and sometimes chippy. The South opened the scoring as Cokeville quarterback Bentley Johnson found Ian Arnold of Glenrock for a touchdown to make it 7-0. The North answered back with a touchdown pass from Luke Glassock to Big Horn's Kade VanDyken that covered 40 yards and with the successful 2 point try, the North led 8-6. Big Horn's Kade Eisele found the end zone from 4 yards out to give the North a 15-6 lead going into the halftime intermission. In the 3rd quarter, VanDyken found some free space and caught a 43 yard TD pass from Clayton Louderback from Upton-Sundance to increase the lead to 22-6. The South rallied with 12 yard scoring strike from Colton Caves from Wheatland to Dylan Case of Douglas to cut the gap to 22-12. In the 4th quarter, the South scored again as Tyson Cornia of Evanston scampered into the end zone from a yard out so just like that, it was 22-19. The North put the game away as Glassock tossed a TD pass to Natrona's Tehl Campbell as the North wins the Shrine Bowl for the 7th consecutive year. The final was 29-19 with Kade VanDyken breaking a Shrine Bowl record with 156 yards receiving. he was named the offensive player of the game while Damon Taylor of Rawlins was named the defensive player of the game.
