Riverside's last appearance at the State Volleyball Tournament was in 2010 and the Rebels certainly opened up some eyes in 2020. This team went 21-2 on the year and placed 2nd at the 2A state tournament in Casper back in November. The Rebels were led by 3 all-state players in Caroline Schlattmann and Vaidyn VanderPloeg along with Victory Buck.

In the quarterfinal round of the state tourney, Riverside knocked off Tongue River 25-17, 25-19, 21-25 and, 26-24. In the semi-final round, the Rebels turned in a sharp performance with a 25-21, 21-25, 25-13, and 25-15 victory over Big Horn. In the 2A final, Riverside gave Sundance a battle but the Rebels fell to Sundance 25-19, 25-23, and 25-23

The good news for Riverside is that their all-state players, Schlattmann and VanderPloeg were just sophomores and Buck was a sophomore too, This year's team had just two seniors so they will be a force to be reckoned with next season.
