Pinedale's Cody Phelps is no stranger to winning as he captured the 2020 3A state title at 126 pounds. In 2021, he moved up to 138 and was equally impressive with another state title as he beat Tanner Collins of Mountain View by technical fall 23-8. Phelps had the match in control from start to finish and wrapped up the year with 42 wins and 0 losses. That's truly amazing and Phelps is a junior this year. Collins had a record this year of 29-9. In the 3A 3rd place match, Keltan Ewing of Douglas got by Keegan Meyer of Wheatland 6-2 so Ewing capped the season with a mark of 28-8 and Meyer was a whopping 42-4. Gabe Harris of Lander defeated Conor Manlove of Burns-Pine Bluffs by fall to take 5th place.

In 2A, Thermopolis had a tremendous championship round with four state champions and the first one was earned by Wyatt McDermott who beat Kaden Tescher of Wright 9-3. McDermott took 4th at 126 a year ago and was 29-4 this season while Tescher completed the season at 29-7. Cael Thompson of Cokeville earned the 3rd place medal and an overall record of 29-4 with a pin of Landen Brownlee of Wind River. Brownlee was 17-12 in 2021. Slayd Daley of Saratoga defeated Paxton Piasecki of Glenrock by fall for 5th place.

Reese Osborne has been a regular state placer in his career for Sheridan and this season he took the gold at 138 pounds with a 19-5 major decision over Dylan Catlin from Thunder Basin. It was a very workmanlike performance as Osborne ran the table in 2021 with a record of 29-0. Catlin had a string year at 34-4. Kendall Cummings from Evanston won the 3rd place medal with a 16-0 win over Blake Harding of Campbell County. Cummings finished the year at 32-3 and Harding was 17-10. In the 5th place match, Billy Brenton of Natrona won by fall over Laramie's Fischer Hawkins.
