What the Sheridan football program has achieved is nothing less than phenomenal. The Broncs won their 4th consecutive 4A State Championship with a 21-0 win over Cheyenne East for their 43rd straight win. Sheridan has not lost a game in 3 years and has beaten Cheyenne East in the finale for the last 3 years. However, the respective defenses held the respective offenses to season lows in terms of points.

The difference in the game is that the Sheridan offense made 2 gigantic plays in the 2nd quarter. Both were 80-yard touchdown receptions by Breck Reed from Ty Gilbertson and Reed is especially dangerous on catch and runs. Reed finished the day with 4 catches for 183 yards and also had an interception on defense. Kelton Crow accounted for Sheridan's final touchdown in the 3rd quarter on a one-yard run.

Cheyenne East lost 3 fumbles in the game and that really hurt. Keyshawn Brown picked up 55 yards on the ground and Nolan Horton added 41 but the T-Birds threw the ball for 104 yards. East finishes the season with a record of 9-3 with 8 straight winning campaigns and 13 of the last 14 seasons.

Sheridan rang up 156 yards rushing and 189 yards passing and owned the time of possession category in the 4th quarter.  Be sure and take a look at some images from the game on Saturday night at War Memorial Stadium. You can locate them in our gallery below. Enjoy!
