The gigantic National High School Coaches Association wrestling tournament concluded over the weekend in Virginia Beach, Virginia with 7 Wyoming grapplers earning All-American status by finishing in 8th place or better. This tournament is filled with top-notch wrestlers from around the country and finishing as an All-American is quite an accomplishment.

In the senior division, Pinedale's Cody Phelps finish 8th at 126 pounds going 3-3 in the tournament. He is 4 time Wyoming state champion and went 54-0 this past season. Also in the senior division, Natrona's Tate Tromble placed 6th at 113 pounds with a record of 4-3 in Virginia Beach. Tromble was the 4A state champ at 113 with a season record of 51-3

In the junior division, Sheridan's Kolten Powers earned All-American designation with a 4th place finish at 113 pounds as he went 4-2. Powers took 2nd place in the 4A 120 pound class with a season mark of 42-7. Thunder Basin's Lane Catlin took 5th in the heavyweight spot in Virginia Beach going 5-2. He was the 4A state champion at 285, going 40-0.

Over to the sophomore group and Sheridan's Dane Steel went 5-2  at 145 pounds to take place 5th at the national tournament. He was the 4A state champ at 152 with a record of 43-2.

In the freshman division, 113 pounder Nathan Fish of Lusk took 8th to earn All-American status as he went 6-4 over the weekend. Fish was the 2A state champion at 113 with a season mark of 47-5. . Liam Fox of Cheyenne East took 8th place at 132 pounds going 6-3 in Virginia. Fox was the 4A state champion at 132 pounds finishing the Wyoming prep season at 52-6.

A total of 48 wrestlers from Wyoming took part in the NHSCA Tournament this year.
