For the second straight week, there is a new No. 1 ranked team in the WyoPreps Coaches and Media Girls Basketball Poll.

Two new teams jump into the rankings with one in 4A and one in 3A.

The change at the top is in Class 2A. Rocky Mountain’s win over Wyoming Indian last weekend vaults the Lady Grizz to No. 1. Rocky Mountain received seven first-place votes. Moorcroft holds onto second by only three points in the voting. The Chiefs fell to third, which means they traded spots with Rocky Mountain. Glenrock and Sundance hold in fourth and fifth.

Lander’s two victories over Lyman and Mountain View last week helped the Tigers jump into the rankings at No. 4. The Eagles fell to fifth, which pushed Mountain View out of the top five.

The top four held their position in Class 4A. Cheyenne East is on top for the ninth straight poll. The Thunderbirds are a unanimous No. 1. Cody, Thunder Basin, and Laramie stay second, third, and fourth. Rock Springs debuts in the rankings in fifth.

Class 1A had no change. Upton received 12 of the 13 first-place votes. Burlington, Southeast, Cokeville, and Little Snake River round out the top five.
