The first WyoPreps Athlete of the Year Award in girls’ cross country, presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wyoming and in cooperation with Wyldgear, is presented to Pinedale junior Madison Antonino. She competes in cross country at Jackson Hole High School as part of a co-op program.

Antonino was the 4A state champion during the fall 2023 season. She crossed the finish line at the state championships in Cheyenne at a time of 18:17.2. That was over 41 seconds faster than the runner-up. Madison won four races last fall and placed in the top 15 in three other regional events. She ran a personal-best 18:06.2 at the Nike Cross Nationals Northwest regional meet last November, where Antonino was the top finisher from Wyoming in 14th place. She had the four fastest times in cross country among Wyoming runners during the 2023 season.
