The state tennis championship matches were held on Saturday at the Campbell County Rec Center in Gillette and Brendan Lock put himself in elite company with his 3rd consecutive state title in #1 boys singles. The Cheyenne South senior made quick work of Kyle Moore of Laramie 6-0 6-0 with a powerful groundstroke and a solid backhand. This years tournament was played outdoors for the first 2 days and then moved indoors due to inclement weather. Lock was in a league of his own in tennis during his career and now is looking forward to a college opportunity. Here are some highlights of that championship match on Saturday afternoon.
