Cheyenne Central senior Nathanial Talich has enjoyed an outstanding prep career. Earlier this season, he reached a milestone.

Talich surpassed 1,000 points in his high school career during the first weekend of the 2021-22 season in a game against Jackson.

The senior is already a two-time all-state selection and pretty much a lock to get his third after the current season. He has the state’s single-game high of 52 points versus Sheridan High School from Englewood, CO earlier this season.

Talich is also averaging 7.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 3.1 steals per game. All of those are among the top 10 in Class 4A. He has helped the Indians to an 8-6 overall record and a 2-1 mark in 4A East Conference play.

Last year as a junior, Talich helped Cheyenne Central win the 4A boys basketball state championship. The Indians finished last season with a 21-3 record. Talich averaged 18.2 points per game and shot 62 percent from the field.

He averaged 15.6 points per game as a sophomore and 3.7 per contest his freshman season.

Congratulations to Nathanial Talich on 1,000 points and counting.
