Cheyenne Central was looking for a home playoff game in 4A and that’s exactly what they got as they ran past Cheyenne South on Friday night.  The Indians got out of the gate quickly as they put 3 touchdowns on the board in the first quarter. Quarterback Dawson McCleary threw a 60 yard TD pass to Andrew Johnson and then threw a 2-yard pass to Brady Storebo. That was followed by a 22 yard run to the end zone from Carter Lobatos. 

In the 2nd quarter, Storebo caught his 2nd TD ball of the night and Cheyenne South got on the board with a 13 yard TD connection from Braeden Hughes to Jadyn Cummings but the Bison trailed 28-8 at the halftime intermission.  Central went right back to work as McCleary threw his 4th Td pass of the game and Johnson caught his 2nd to make it 35-7. Lobatos rambled 26 yards for his 2nd score of the game.  In the 4th quarter, Jackson Davis tallied for the Indians and Braeden Hughes had a 10 yard run for a touchdown for South,

Cheyenne Central wins this one 48-16 and at 6-3 on the, they’ll be the 3rd seed in the 4A playoffs and will host Rock Springs in the opening round. South finished the year at 1-8 and did not qualify for the postseason.
