The Cokeville girls basketball team has 3 state championships in 1A over the course of the last 6 years and the Panthers have won the last 2 in a row. Cokeville has a gifted group of athletes which has produced 3 straight state titles in volleyball so they're used to winning.

In basketball, the Panthers had 4 players make all-state and that's an incredible amount for one team. Kamille Nate is a 3-time state selection and averaged a dozen points a game this past season. Emmie Barnes and Emma Teichert are back to back all-state picks and both averaged 8 points per game while Kylee Dayton made all-state for the 1st time.

At the state tournament in Casper, Cokeville won their quarterfinal round game over Lingle-Fort Laramie 65-22. Barnes led the way with 14 and Dayton chipped in 12

The Panthers semi-final round game with Upton was an entertaining game, to say the least, and it was a game that Cokeville easily could have lost. The Panthers prevailed 54-53 despite going 2-14 from the 3 point line. Emmie Barnes had a sensational game with 20 points on 8-19 from the floor with Dayton throwing in 16 and Kamille Nate adding 13.

That set up the 1A title match with Kaycee and Cokeville looked sharp start to finish with a 46-33 win. Barnes was a star yet again with 20 with Nate contributing 10. The Panthers finished the year 24-2. Looking ahead, the bad news for Cokeville is that Emma Teichert and Kamille Nate were seniors this year. The good news is that Barnes and Dayton will be juniors next season.
