It’s been a bit of a bumpy start to the boys’ basketball season for the Farson-Eden Pronghorns but they believe a tough schedule will pay off.

The Pronghorns lost eight seniors off last year’s squad that went 15-7 overall and won the Class 1A boys’ consolation trophy at the state tournament.

Farson-Eden is off to a 1-7 start this season. All of their defeats have been to schools in larger classifications. They’ve dropped two games to two 4A schools, two from 3A, one in 2A, and also have a pair of losses against two sub-varsity programs of 4A schools.

Seniors Cree Jones and Trevor Jones visited with WyoPreps recently in the video above. They described the Pronghorns team this season, how the difficult competition will pay off in the long run, how hard work and practicing the fundamentals will help them improve, and more.

The Pronghorns will open conference play in the 1A Southwest Quadrant this weekend.
