Final Wyoming High School Basketball Rankings 2014
These are the final coaches/media rankings for 4A and 3A boys and girls basketball, for the 2013-2014 season.
As the regular season is now over, the final rankings had almost no change.
More importantly, now it's time for the teams to really determine which one is #1.
#1 and #2 are unanimous in 4A. Gillette and Kelly Walsh have the top seeds going into their regional tournaments. The interesting thing is that these 2 teams, did not hook up in the regular season. Sheridan, East and Natrona round out the rankings.
No change at all either in the final 3A Boys rankings. Lander is still #1, followed by Wheatland, Cody, Buffalo and Rawlins. Regional tournaments will be played in Torrington and in Mountain View, where the Bulldogs and the Tigers carry top seeds receptively.
It was close in the final Girls 4A rankings. Natrona holds on to the #1 ranking, by 1 vote ahead of Sheridan. East had the same margin over Gillette for #3. Kelly Walsh and Rock Springs tied for the #5 ranking, heading into the regional tournament.
The only change in any of the polls, was in 3A Girls. Powell is back in at #5, after securing the #1 seed for the west regional tournament in Mountain View. Above them in the rankings, are 4 teams from the east. Torrington and Douglas are the unanimous #1 and #2, followed by Rawlins and Worland.
