It was the postseason battle for Campbell County as the Gillette Camels made the short trip over to Thunder Basin to meet the undefeated Bolts. This was a much close game than a #1 seed taking on an 8 seed would indicate, considering Thunder Basin posted a big win over Gillette during the regular season.

It was even-steven after 1 quarter of play, as Jaxon Pikula opened the scoring for the Bolts on a 1-yard burst into the end zone to make it 7-0. Gillette came right back with a 4 yard run to the end zone from Nate Miller to tie the game at 7. Miller was through as he ran it in from 7 yards out to make it 14-7 Camels.  Thunder Basin came through with a big play on offense with quarterback Mason Hamilton throwing to Tanner Richards that went for 67 yards so it was even again at 14. The Bolts added a field goal to increase the lead to 17-14

After a scoreless 3rd quarter, Pikula found the end zone again, in the last 3 minutes so at this point it was 24-14.

Gillette still had some gas in the tank late in the 4th quarter and came up with a 60-yard pass play for a touchdown from Kaden Rice to Tanner Hilliard. The extra point was missed so it was 24-20. Thunder Basin recovered the on sides kick to preserve that 24-20 win to get to 10-0 on the year with a home semi-final round playoff game against Cheyenne East on Friday Gillette finished the season 2-8.
