PHOTOS! Peterson and Lewis Win the Sundance Fall Golf Invite 2024
Savanah Peterson of Sundance and Easton Lewis from Tongue River finished at the top of the standings in last Friday's Sundance Golf Invite at the Sundance Country Club. The girls' title was decided in a playoff, but the boys' title had a clear winner.
Savanah Peterson and her teammate Avery Marchant tied through 18 holes at a score of 92. Peterson took the crown after a one-hole playoff. That duo helped Sundance win the team title by 46 shots, as the Bulldogs finished with a team score of 298. Kelsie Griffin of Ten Sleep placed third at 97. Wright's Nyah Eisenbraun (112) and Hannah Steele (113) came in fourth and fifth, respectively.
In the boys' division, Lewis fired 77 over his 18 holes and won by nine shots. Porter Watt of Sundance took second on his home course after carding a round of 86. Thatcher Troftgruben of Newcastle was third at 91. Owen Watt of Sundance and Colton Gerler of Wright tied for fifth at 92. The Wright boys finished at a team score of 376 and won the title by 16 shots.
