Buffalo’s Hunter Peterson will continue his basketball career at the next level with the Sheridan Generals.

Peterson was a two-year starter for the Bison. He was named 3A All-State and All-Conference in 2020 by the Wyoming Coaches Association.

Peterson averaged 12.5 points, four assists, and 2.4 steals per game during the 2019-20 season. He helped Buffalo to an overall record of 16-9 and a berth in the Class 3A state tournament. Peterson scored a season-best 23 points for the Bison in a loss at Worland on Dec. 17, 2019.

Peterson will play for Coach Cody Ball at Sheridan College. The Generals went 19-12 last season and lost in the first round of the Region IX Tournament. Hunter’s older brother Hayden Peterson just finished his redshirt freshmen season at Sheridan College.
