Jackson Vs. Star Valley Football [VIDEO]

The top-ranked team in 3A Star Valley proved why their top-ranked thanks to a stifling defensive performance over 4^th ranked Jackson on Friday afternoon. Jackson has a super running back in Jayden Cox but he registered just 39 yards rushing on 16 carries.

That being said, that first half was very, very competitive with a scoreless first quarter and Star Valley tallying once in the 2^nd quarter with RJ Cazier getting in from the 1 so the Braves led 7-0 after one half of play

In the 3^rd quarter, Star Valley was finding some traction as quarterback Brant Nelson found Hazen Erickson and that was a 41-yard play for a touchdown to increase the lead to 14. The Braves also blocked a Jackson punt with the ball going through the end zone for a safety to increase the lead to 16.

So while the Star Valley defense was tightening the screws, the Star Valley offense had a productive 4^th quarter as Cazier scored again from 3  yards out and Dean Shaw had a 14 yard run for a score.

Star Valley was impressive again with a 3-0 win over Jackson to get to 7-0 on the year, That sets up a gigantic game on Friday as the Braves will travel to meet undefeated Cody. Jackson drops to 4-3 on the year and the broncs will visit Evanston on Friday
