It certainly was an up and down season for the Kaycee girls basketball team with an overall record of 11-17. But the Buckaroos did qualify for the state tournament which is a testament to perseverance.  Kaycee did lose big to Cokeville in the State 1A quarterfinal round 53-30 as Tinley Pierson led the way with 14 points. The Bucs stayed alive in the tournament thanks to a 46-44 win over Lingle in the consolation round. Pierson was a one-woman show with 23 points and 14 rebounds while Shelly Rameriz contributed a dozen. Kaycee closed the season with a narrow 44-40 loss to Little Snake River as Rameriz threw in 19 and Pierson had 13. Pierson for the year averaged 14 points a game and earned all-state status and she was just a sophomore. This team had just 3 seniors including Rameriz and will have just one senior in 2019-2020
