Laramie and Cheyenne Central hooked up on the football field on Friday in one of the longest rivalries in Wyoming high school football. Cheyenne Central took the game over in the first quarter as they out 20 points on the board, beginning with quarterback Dawson McCleary throwing to Andrew Johnson for a TD from 12 yards out, which was followed by a big play by the Indian defense as Nate Lundberg scooped up a loose ball and took it to the house from 32 yards out. Then McCleary threw his 2nd TD pass of the quarter, going to Brady Storebo so it was 20-0 Cenrtral just like that.

McCleary was on fire in this contest with 2 more TD throws in the 2nd quarter, one going to Nathanial Talich and the other going to Andrew Johnson.  So the Indians at this point led 33-0. Central tacked on 2 more TD’s in the 3rd quarter as Carter Lobatos got into the end zone from 5 yards out and McCleary threw his 5th touchdown pass of the night, going to Brock Storebo from 16 yards.

Laramie put a couple of TD’s on the board in the 4th quarter as Colter Nunn plunged in from the 1-yard line and Isaac Sell ran it from 17 yards out. But Cheyenne Central improves to 3-2 on the year with a 47-14 win over Laramie. The Indians will be in Casper to meet Kelly Walsh this week. Laramie drops to 1-4 and will host Cheyenne East on Friday
