If you were looking for Laynee Walker of Kemmerer at the State Track Meet, other than the track itself or the pole vault pit, you would find her at the awards stand. Walker had an amazing meet with 2A State Championships in the 100 hurdles, the 300 hurdles and the pole vault. She also ran on the Rangers 1st place 4x100 relay team.

Walker, who is a sophomore ran 16.76 to win the 100 hurdles, 47.21 to take the 300 and cleared 10 feet in the pole vault. Her Kemmerer team finished a close 2nd in the 2A team to Big Piney by 11 points. Needless to say, she has a bright future and also plays volleyball for the Rangers.

We caught up with her after a busy final day at State and her accomplishments were impressive
