Lovell senior Adessa Lundberg has signed with Montana State University Billings (MSUB) to play college golf.

Lundberg finished in third place at the 2020 Class 3A state golf championships back in September. She fired rounds of 81 and 85 for a two-day total of 166. She was 10 strokes behind her teammate, who won the medalist honor. Lundberg helped Lovell win their first-ever girls’ state golf championship. The Bulldogs won by three shots over Wheatland for the team title.

A four-time all-state golfer, Lundberg finished tied for sixth at the 3A State Championships in 2019 as a junior. She was third as a sophomore in 2018 at the Class 2A State Championships. As a freshman, Lundberg placed ninth at the 2017 2A State Championships.

During her senior season, Adessa posted victories at the Park County Shootout on Aug. 13, 2020, and at the Lovell Invite on Aug. 28, 2020. She added four runner-up finishes. Those came at the 3A West Conference Championships, the Bobcat Golf Invite, the Worland Golf Tournament, and the Cody High School Invite.

Lundberg also plays basketball at Lovell High School. She’s a two-time varsity letter winner. Last season, as a junior, she averaged 4.4 points and 2.9 rebounds per game for the Bulldogs.

The MSUB Yellowjackets compete at the Division II level and are part of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference. Jeff Allen is the head golf coach at MSUB.
