Buffalo senior Eli Patterson is one of the newest members of the 1000-point club, as he was celebrated for passing the mark recently by Buffalo High School. A four-year starter for the Bison, Patterson is averaging 14.6 points per game during his final season of high school basketball and shooting 51 percent from the field.

Patterson is a three-time all-state and all-conference choice by 3A coaches. He has helped the Bison to a 5-6 overall record this season and a 3-0 mark in the 3A Northeast Quadrant. Patterson’s adding 8.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 3.3 steals per game this season. He also shoots 88 percent at the free-throw line. All his marks, except field goal percentage, are among the top ten in Class 3A boys’ basketball this year.

As a junior in the 2023 season, Patterson averaged 15.5 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.8 steals, and 1.9 blocked shots per game. Buffalo went 15-10 and qualified for the 3A state basketball tournament. They were 6-0 and won the 3A Northeast Quadrant Conference.

Patterson averaged 12.6 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 3.6 steals per game as a sophomore during the 2022 season. Buffalo was 19-9 and finished in third place at the state tournament.

In his freshman year of 2021, Patterson contributed 11.4 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. The Bison went 16-7 that season and placed third at the state tournament.
