PhotoFest: Lyman Rallies to Edge Tongue River in 2A Playoffs
The Lyman-Tongue River 2A football playoff game was the only one-point contest in the first round regardless of classification. Tongue River scored 13 points in the first quarter but Lyman rose to the occasion with 6 points in the 3rd quarter, plus a touchdown in the 4th quarter and a successful two-point try to win it 14-13.
A year ago, Lyman lost to eventual state champion Big Horn 7-0 in the semi-final round and the Eagles will face Big Horn again in this year's semi-finals in 2A. Lyman has the #1 rushing attack in the classification as Carter Bradshaw has been averaging 136 yards per game on the ground this season. The Eagles are 8-2 with losses to Lovell and Mountain View and they're on a 5-game winning streak.
Tongue River finished the season with a record of 7-3 and those 3 losses have been narrow. The Eagles lost to Torrington by 14, Big Horn by 7, and now Lyman by 1. Tongue River has really turned their fortunes around going 15-5 over the course of the last two seasons.
