Powell Vs. Jackson Football [VIDEO]

Powell and Jackson wrapped up the regular season in football on Friday in Teton County. The winner would get the 3 seed in the playoffs from the 3A West and the loser would get the 4 seed. Jackson has a super running back in Jayden Cox who tallied the first Bronc touchdown from 9 yards out. That was followed by a flea-flicker for a TD for Jackson as Peter Goettler tossed a 19-yard pass to Evan Brunner to increase the Bronc lead to 14-0. Jackson also got a first-half touchdown reception by Goettler while Powell answered with a nifty run for a touchdown from Brody Karhu. Karhu also scored in the 3rd quarter on an 8-yard run and finished with 144 yards rushing on the day. Powell also had a 4th quarter field and missed a field goal attempt. Jackson made some timely plays late in the game to preserve a 21-17 win to get a 6-3 on the year. The Broncs will be at Riverton in the opening round of the playoffs. Powell is 5-4 and will travel to Lander for round one of the postseason. We have some video highlights of that game on Friday. Enjoy!
