Riverton had made some big strides this season and kept their playoff hopes alive with a home win over Rawlins back on Friday. It was a scoreless first quarter but Riverton did miss a 34-yard field goal attempt. In the 2nd quarter, The Wolverines hit paydirt as Brock Hinkle got in from the 1-yard line to give Riverton a 7-0 lead. That was followed by a 2 yard run for a score from Trayton Hyatt so the Wolverines in business leading 14-0

Rawlins found a bit of traction on offense in the 3rd quarter with Quinten Romero tossing a touchdown pass to Conner Mendez that went for 11 yards so cut the Riverton lead in half to 14-7.

But that’s all the offense that the Outlaws could muster and Riverton tacked on a field goal to win it 17-6 to get to 4-3 on the year, The Wolverines have a humungous game this Friday in Douglas to determine their playoff future with a number of scenarios. Rawlins is 2-5 on the year and has been eliminated from playoff contention.  The Outlaws will wrap up the season at Torrington on Friday
