The volleyball season is underway and Riverton was the site of several season-opening tournaments around the state. Thirteen varsity teams took part in this event and Lander had an impressive start to the season as they went undefeated in the tourney which included a 17-21, 21-18, and 15-13 win over Cody in the championship match. So the Tigers are 7-0 so far and also posted wins over Thermopolis, Powell, and Cody.

Cody, by the way, is 6-2 to start the season so they're off to a good start, Riverton is 5-2 and the host team had wins over Worland, Sheridan, Shoshoni, and Powell. Kemmerer is off to a 5-4 start and Saratoga has begun at 4-2.

For other teams, it's just a matter of improvement. Worland who was in the Riverton tournament is 3-3 to start things off, Thermopolis 2-3 Sheridan Powell and Dubois all at 2-4. But there is a long, long way to go. We do have some images to share from this tournament with you courtesy of Greg Wise and Riverton High School.
