During the regular season in 4A, Sheridan beat Rock Springs thanks to a superlative game from running back Colson Coon. Fast forward to the State Championship game and it was Colson Coon again who overpowered the Tigers as the Broncs win that game going away 45-27. At one point, Sheridan led the game 31-7, and not too many people could have predicted that. But Coon was among the fastest guys on the field and he carried the ball 26 times for 230 yards and four touchdowns.

Rock Springs did get some traction as the game went on but the deficit was too much to overcome. Isaac Schoenfeld caught 11 balls for 134 yards and a touchdown but the Tiger defense allowed Sheridan to average 9 yards per carry.  Sheridan now has 2 state titles in the last 3 years and finished 11-1. Rock Springs was looking for their first state championship and finished the year 10-2.

We have a video to share with you on Saturday's game at War Memorial Stadium and we have some great photos from Jasey McBurnett in our gallery. Enjoy!
