Campbell County Surges to the top of the New WyoPreps Softball Rankings

A new No. 1 and a new team in the top five highlighted the latest WyoPreps Coaches and Media Softball Poll on Wednesday. After going undefeated in six games last week, which included four wins at the Eastside Round Robin tournament, the Campbell County Camels moved to the top of the rankings. They received nine of the 18 first-place votes. The Camels beat three-ranked foes in the tourney. That included shutouts of East and Wheatland. The Thunderbirds held onto the second spot in the poll. They got three first-place votes and the most second-place votes. Thunder Basin slid to third following the Bolts’ 1-3 record at the tournament. Thunder still garnered four first-place votes. Sheridan made its debut in the rankings. The Broncs jumped into the poll for the first time in program history at No. 4. This is Sheridan’s first season of prep softball. Wheatland dropped to fifth and completed the top five.

WYOPREPS COACHES AND MEDIA SOFTBALL POLL 5-7-25

Cheyenne Central and Laramie received votes this week. The Indians earned two first-place votes, but it was not enough to keep them in the poll.
