One week is left for Wyoming High School softball teams in the 2025 regular season. This is Week 8, which has been extended to May 12 with a reschedule. Teams are pushing for seeds at next week’s regional tournaments in Casper (North) and Laramie (South). New rankings will come out on Wednesday. The schedule is subject to change.

2025 WYOPREPS SOFTBALL SCHEDULE WEEK 8

MONDAY, MAY 5

Final Score: #3 Wheatland 16 Torrington 0 (Conference game) - Lockman & Vaughn combined on a 3-hit shutout. The Bulldogs had 2 home runs by Adams and Meyer. Adams finished with 5 RBIs.

Final Score: Torrington 9 #3 Wheatland 4 - a 5-run 4th propelled the Blazers to the win. Coulson had 2 hits (HR) & 5 RBIs for Torrington.

TUESDAY, MAY 6

Final Score: Cody 4 Worland 1 (Conference cross-pod game) - the Fillies jumped on top 3-0 and held on. Lindemann allowed 1 run on 3 hits with 5 Ks and 1 walk in the circle. Teten & Lindemann had 1 hit & 1 RBI each at the plate.

Final Score: Cody 18 Worland 0 - Nielsen tossed a 1-hit shutout with 5 Ks and 1 walk. Cody scored 14 runs in the 1st inning. Kondelis had 3 hits (2B) & 5 RBIs, and Lindemann added 3 hits & 4 RBIs.

#4 Campbell County at #1 Thunder Basin - postponed to May 7

New softball rankings came out on Wednesday.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 7

Final Score: #1 Campbell County 5 #3 Thunder Basin 4 (Conference game) - the Bolts led 4-0, but the Camels rallied and won it with 2 runs in the top of the 7th. Kimbley had an inside-the-park home run, and Thayer followed with the go-ahead RBI single.

Final Score: #1 Campbell County 23 #3 Thunder Basin 12 - the Camels scored 10 in the 1st and never trailed. Torres had 3 hits & 5 RBIs, and Kimbley homered and drove in 3. Smith & Cole added 3 hits & 3 RBIs each.

Final Score: #2 Cheyenne East 8 Cheyenne Central 4 (Conference game) - the T-Birds led 6-0 and held off a late rally by the Indians. Millar doubled, homered twice, and had 3 RBIs. Stephenson added a home run and got the win in the circle with 10 Ks.

Final Score: #2 Cheyenne East 14 Cheyenne Central 7 - the T-Birds rallied from a 4-0 deficit and took the lead with 7 in the 4th. Artery led East with 3 hits & 3 RBIs. Birt had 2 hits & 3 RBIs in the loss for Central.

Final Score: Rock Springs 4 Green River 0 (Conference game) - Wester fires a 5-hit shutout with 9 Ks. Turnwall & Sweeney homered for RS.

Final Score: Rock Springs 6 Green River 5 - the Tigers took a 6-2 lead and held off the Wolves. Turnwall homered and drove in 3. Anderson added a solo HR.

Final Score: Natrona County 24 Kelly Walsh 8 (Conference game) - leading 5-2, NC scored 9 in the 4th and 10 runs in the 6th. Randolph hit 3 HRs and drove in 6. Hodge added 2 hits & 5 RBIs, while Devoe had 3 hits & 4 RBIs.

Final Score: Kelly Walsh 16 Natrona County 9 - KW scored 11 runs in the first inning. Smith had 1 HR among 3 hits & 3 RBIs. Sisco added 2 hits & 2 RBIs.

Final Score: #4 Sheridan 17 Worland 2 (Conference game) - the Broncs scored 9 runs in the 2nd and never trailed. Mock led the way with 4 hits & 3 RBIs. Meyer added 4 hits & drove in 2 runs. Atter had 3 hits & 5 RBIs.

Final Score: Sheridan 12 Worland 4 - the Broncs scored the first 9 runs of the game. Meyer, Kelley, and Murner all had 2 hits & 2 RBIs.

Final Score: Laramie 27 Cheyenne South 8 (Conference game) - Laramie scored 10 runs in the 1st. They hit 4 home runs, including a grand slam by Claude.

FRIDAY, MAY 9

Final Score: #4 Sheridan 6 Jackson 5 (Conference cross-pod game) - Sheridan broke a tie with 3 runs in the 5th and held off Jackson. Mock had 2 hits & 1 RBI, while Murner added 3 hits & 2 runs scored for Sheridan. Green had 2 hits & 2 RBIs for Jackson.

Final Score: #4 Sheridan 14 Jackson 3 - Sheridan pulled away with 11 runs in the last 3 innings. Atter had 3 hits & 4 RBIs.

Final Score: #2 Cheyenne East 6 #5 Wheatland 3 (Conference game) - the T-Birds took the lead with 3 runs in the 1st. Millar had 2 hits & 2 RBIs. Stephenson allowed only 3 runs on 5 hits with 6 Ks and 3 walks. East wins the SE Conference title.

Final Score: #2 Cheyenne East 7 #5 Wheatland 3 - East scored 5 runs in the 1st inning and completed the home sweep. Millar hit a solo HR and had 2 RBIs. Lake had a 2-run double.

Final Score: Cheyenne Central 10 Torrington 3 (Conference game) - the Indians jumped out to a 6-1 lead. Thomas doubled and homered among 3 hits & 3 RBIs. Aragon added 2 hits & 2 RBIs.

Final Score: Cheyenne Central 8 Torrington 2 - Kammerman hit a 2-run HR and Birt added 2 RBIs for the Indians.

SATURDAY, MAY 10

Final Score: Cody 13 Natrona County 11 (Conference game) - Cody scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 6th to beat NC. Lindemann tied it with an RBI single, and Cody won it on a 2-run HR by Kondelis.

Final Score: Cody 17 Natrona County 10 - Cody scored the last 14 runs of the game to rally from a 10-3 deficit. Nielsen had 2 hits & 4 RBIs. Lindemann & Reinker homered for Cody.

MONDAY, MAY 12

Final Score: #3 Thunder Basin 7 Natrona County 5 (Conference cross-pod game) - the Bolts scored 5 times in their last 2 at-bats to get the win. Schmid had 2 doubles among 3 hits & 2 RBIs. Mason added 2 hits & 2 RBIs.

Final Score: #3 Thunder Basin 11 Natrona County 8 - the Bolts rallied with 10 runs in the last 2 innings. Rusch had 2 hits & 2 RBIs for TB. Dickinson had 3 hits & 3 RBIs for NC in the loss.
