Nothing Different in the New WyoPreps Coaches and Media Softball Poll

The first softball rankings in two weeks featured no changes. The new WyoPreps Coaches and Media Softball Poll had the same top five teams as the third poll on March 27, 2024. Cheyenne East solidified itself at the top of the rankings, and the other four teams received a majority of the votes for their spot.

There was no poll last week due to the lack of games in the final week of March. After a full slate last week, where every team played at least two games, the coaches, and media’s thoughts on the top five were not any different.

The Thunderbirds are a near-unanimous choice for No. 1. East earned 17 of the 18 first-place votes. They have a big road trip to Gillette later this week. Thunder Basin remained second, while crosstown rival Campbell County held third. The Camels got the other first-place vote. Cody and Laramie rounded out the top five in fourth and fifth, respectively.

Three more teams received votes in this week’s poll.
