The 2024 Wyoming High School softball season concluded on May 18, with Thunder Basin High School from Gillette winning their third consecutive state championship. The Bolts defeated Cheyenne East in the title game for the second straight year. This year's final score was 10-0 in six innings. Changes Are Coming to Wyoming High School Softball Next Year

The sport of high school softball is expanding in the 2025 season. Torrington, Jackson, and Sheridan will field varsity teams next spring. The conferences are changing to North-South, and a regional qualifying tournament will be added the week before the state tournament. WyoPreps spoke with WHSAA Commissioner Trevor Wilson about the softball changes as part of a bigger discussion of overall changes for the 2024-25 high school sports year.
