Star Valley traditionally plays its non-conference season with out-of-state opponents and this season the Braves are 2 for 2. They started out with a victory over Shelley, Idaho in Boise, and then backed that up with a 42-14 win over Preston, Idaho in Afton on Friday.  Taft McClure sure had a nice game at quarterback for Star Valley and he got it started with a 62-yard touchdown pass to Wyatt Crogg to give the Braves a 7-0 lead. McClure then hooked up with Chase Stewert for 28 yards and a TD to double the lead to 14 zip.

In the 2nd quarter, Jayden Crook ran it in from 5 yards out so just like that, the Star Valley lead was 21. In the 3rd quarter, McClure went back to work through the air and found Crogg again, this time for 36 yards and a score to bump the lead to 28-0. Later in the 3rd, Crook found the end zone from the defensive perspective with a 69-yard pick six so the game was out of hand at this point at 35-0. McClure threw yet another TD pass to Crogg that went for 37 yards as Star Valley is 2-0 headed into a big road showdown with Sugar Salem, Idaho this week.
