State Wrestling 126 LB Championships
There are not too many guys who have won four state titles in Wyoming High School wrestling but add Sefton Douglass of Lyman to the list. He beat Jake Hammer of Pinedale by a pin in the 3A 126 pound title match to finish the year an astounding 46-0. Douglass has made it look easy all year long and hasn't lost a match in three years. Hammer had a good season too at 41-12. The 3rd place finisher at 126 in 3A was former state champion Zachary Covolo of Rawlins and Conner Todd of Green River took 4th.
In 2A, freshman Roany Proffit of Kemmerer won a state championship thanks to a 12-6 win over Colton Coffman of Lusk. Roeny's older brother Donny was a four-time state champion so there's some big-time lineage there. Proffit was 43-6 this season and Coffman ended up 45-6. Former state champion Nathaniel Boreen of Greybull/Riverside took 3rd and Trenton Grey of Moorcroft was 4th.
Over in 4A, Antonio Avila is a back-to-back state champion as he prevailed over Jerrard Smith of Kelly Walsh 13-4, Avila won the 4A 113 pound title last season and finished this year's campaign at 42-5. Smith, who is a freshman, ended up this season with a mark of 26-8. In 3rd, that went to Jaxin Moore of Evanston with Natrona's Jameson Siemens taking 4th.
