The 4A 285 weight class was the Lane Catlin Show at this year's State Tournament in Casper. In 4 matches at the Ford Center, Catlin wrestled for less than 3 minutes and produced 4 pins. His last one gave him the 2nd state title of his career, beating Gavyn Aumiller of Cheyenne East. Catlin was 40-0 this season and went 38-0 last season as he won the 4A title at 220 pounds. His systematic approach just plain overwhelms opponents. Aumiller concluded the season at 38-9. Dylan Skilling of Thunder Basin took 3rd and Sheridan's Chris Larsen took 4th.

Kyle Logar of Douglas recorded a pin in the 3A 285 pound championship match over Cody Cunningham of Lander to finish the year at 33-6. Douglas finished 2nd in the team standings, just 2.5 points behind Star Valley so the Bearcats had a very good season. Cunningham finished the year at 26-5. Lander's Ernesto Cabriales took 3rd and Kysen Hebdon of Star Valley was 4th.

The last match of the State Tournament was in 2A at 285 pounds with Christian Reilly of Hulett posting a 7-3 win over Rosendo Garcia of Lovell. Both of these guys are sophomores so there is a bright future ahead. Reilly was 30-6 this year and Garcia was 22-6, The 3rd place finisher in this weight class was Ethan Mack of Wright with Will Baker of Lingle/Southeast 4th.
