Conference Championship Weekend For Wyoming Girls’ Swimming & Diving Teams

Wyoming High School girls’ swimming & diving teams will compete in conference championship meets on Friday and Saturday. Four sites are hosting the two-day competitions. Class 3A has its North Conference (Absaraka) Championships in Powell, and the South Conference Championships are in Kemmerer. Class 4A features the East Conference Championships in Gillette, and the West Conference Championships are in Casper.

WYOPREPS 2025 GIRLS SWIMMING & DIVING CONFERENCE MEET OUTLOOK

All four meets will start with the diving prelims and semifinals, followed by the swimming prelims on Friday. All the finals will be on Saturday. Most teams will have one more opportunity next week to add any state qualifiers at a 'last chance' event. The state championships are two weeks away in Laramie, November 6-8, 2025.

Conference Swim Meets Breakdown

3A North (Absaraka) – in Powell (at the Powell Aquatics Center)

Teams = Buffalo, Cody, Douglas, Newcastle, Powell, Worland

Friday Schedule = 2:30 p.m. Diving prelims (5 dives) and semifinals (3 dives); 4:30 p.m. Swim prelims approximate start time.

Saturday Schedule = Finals at 9:30 a.m.

Team Scores = Buffalo 358, Cody 278, Douglas 212, Powell 168, Worland 133, Newcastle 52.

Milan Monterastelli of Buffalo broke the 3A North Conference and State record in the 100 breaststroke at 1:04.33. The Bison won 5 of the 12 events. Monterastelli also won the 200 IM. Cody's Summer LaVigne won the 100 & 200 freestyle races.

3A South – in Kemmerer (at Lander Valley HS)

Teams = Kemmerer, Lander, Lyman, Rawlins, Sublette County

Friday Schedule = 1 p.m. Diving prelims (5 dives) and semifinals (3 dives); 3 p.m. Swim prelims approximate start time.

Saturday Schedule = Finals at 10 a.m.

Teams Scores = Lander 439, Kemmerer 283, Sublette County 208, Lyman 146, Rawlins 73.

Lander won 7 of the 12 events. Vayda Havens and Katy Anderson won 2 individual events each. Logan Rogers of Kemmerer was also a 2-event winner.

4A East – in Gillette (at Campbell County Aquatics Center)

Teams = Campbell County, Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Laramie, Sheridan, Thunder Basin

Friday Schedule = 2 p.m. Diving prelims (5 dives) and semifinals (3 dives); 3:15 p.m. Swim prelims approximate start time.

Saturday Schedule = Finals at 9 a.m.

Team Scores = Central 279, Campbell County 203, Laramie 201, Sheridan 201, East 167, Thunder Basin 140, South 86.

Central won 5 of the 12 events. Kayleigh Hood won the 200 Free and 100 Backstroke races. Hannah Mowry of Sheridan won the 100 Fly and 100 Breaststroke races. Nzelle Ayokosok of East won the 50 & 100 Freestyle races.

4A West – in Casper (at Kelly Walsh HS)

Teams = Evanston, Green River, Jackson, Kelly Walsh, Natrona County, Riverton, Rock Springs

Friday Schedule = 3 p.m. Diving prelims (5 dives) and semifinals (3 dives); 4 p.m. Swim prelims approximate start time.

Saturday Schedule = Finals at 9 a.m.

Team Scores = Jackson 329.5, Riverton 224.5, Green River 212, Kelly Walsh 160, Natrona County 142, Evanston 127, Rock Springs 58.

Jackson won 8 of the 12 events. Maren Tatersall won the 200 & 500 Freestyle races. Amaya Olivieri captured the 100 Freestyle & 100 Backstroke events. Green River's Tavia Arnell was a 2-event winner in the 200 IM and 100 Fly.
