Thunder Basin athlete Blaine Allen has elected to go to Chadron State in pursuit of football. In the 2019 season at the wide receiver spot, Allen caught 36 passes for 602 yards and 5 touchdowns. In their game vs. Cheyenne East, he caught 6 balls for 141 yards. Allen also had 5 interceptions on defense. In his junior season, Allen caught 46 passes for 805 yards and 12 touchdowns along with a couple of picks on defense. He was named all-state in both of those seasons.

Allen is also a terrific basketball player who garnered all-state honors by averaging 14 points and 6 rebounds per game, shooting 47% from the floor. In his junior year, he was named all-conference in 4A averaging 13 points and 7 rebounds per contest. Allen also competed in track & field in the long jump, triple jump, and the 4x100 meter relay.
