Thunder Basin's Bradley Ekstrom Will Continue Track Career at UW

Thunder Basin track athlete Bradley Ekstrom had a tremendous senior year and the next step on his athletic journey will be the University of Wyoming. At the 2024 Outdoor Track Championships, he won the 4A title in the 400 meters with a time of 47.66 and his 4x400 relay team with Cameron Pilcher, Nolan Hottell, and Bridger Norton set the overall state record in 3.19.02. Those 4 guys competed in the Nike Outdoor Nationals in the 4x400 and finished 4th in that prestigious meet in 3.21.66

At the 2024 Indoor Track Championships, Ekstrom won the 4A state title in the 400 in 50.38, and that 4x400 relay team also won the gold medal in 4A in 3.29.64.

As a junior, in 2023, Ekstrom placed 3rd in the 400 at the State Outdoor Meet in 49.74. The Bolts 4x4 relay team were the 4A champs with a clocking of 3.20.40. On the indoor circuit, Ekstrom earned another state championship in the 4A 400 at 51.34 and his 4x400 relay team also placed first in 4A at 3.33.50.

Ekstrom recorded the best time in the state this season in the 400 at 47.61 which he set at the 4A East Regional Meet.
