Thunder Basin’s Chaylin Riley Inks at Chadron State for Wrestling

Thunder Basin senior Chaylin Riley has signed to wrestle at Chadron State College in Nebraska.

According to the program, she is the first female wrestler from Campbell County to sign at the next level.

Riley finished fifth in her division at the state championships in the first year of sanctioned high school girls’ wrestling in Wyoming. She had an overall record of 28-17. Her loss in the semifinals came to the eventual state champion.

She was one of only seven girls on the TBHS team last season. They finished in a tie for sixth with 69 team points.

Riley and her teammates are underway with practice for the 2023-24 season.

Chadron State College is in Chadron, NE. They began a women’s wrestling program in the 2021-22 season. Taylor Summers is the head coach.
