Thunder Basin’s Emma Kimberling is Heading to the University of Mary for Softball
Thunder Basin senior Emma Kimberling will continue her softball career in college after recently committing to the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND.
Kimberling is an all-state and all-conference centerfielder for the Bolts. She helped Thunder Basin win the high school softball state championship in May of 2022. The Bolts defeated Cheyenne Central in the title game, 12-2, and finished their season with an overall record of 24-4.
As a junior, Kimberling had a batting average of .422. She finished last high school season with 43 hits, 32 RBIs, and 51 runs scored.
In the club season, Kimberling played for Wicked 307 and helped them win the 18U state title last month. She hit .360 during the summer club season with 27 base hits. Kimberling had 16 RBIs and 29 runs scored over 25 games played.
She enters her senior year this fall at Thunder Basin High School.
The University of Mary competes at the NCAA Division II level. The Marauders are a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
